In general, we like to schedule our inspections to begin at either 8 AM or 1 PM, Monday through Friday. This allows us sufficient time to travel to the site, complete the inspection and discuss the findings with you.
These times can be varied to meet your specific schedule. For example, if you are unable to leave work early, we can schedule an afternoon inspection so we are completing it when you arrive after work. Some weekend appointments are available, depending on our other commitments.
It is desirable but not necessary that you be present for the entire inspection. If we are inspecting an occupied home, we will need someone on site to represent you, such as your real estate agent or one of your family members.
In the case of new or unoccupied homes, it is only necessary that the home be accessible to us at the appointed times.
We like to allow for 2 to 4 hours to complete the inspection, depending on the size and age of the home, as well as other factors. We can narrow down this estimate at the time that you schedule the inspection.
We do appreciate it if you can schedule your inspection 3-5 days in advance, which gives us sufficient time to forward to you review copies of our contract and to fit you into our schedule. It is always best for everyone if you can schedule your inspection as far in advance as possible, although we do realize this is not always feasible. Most times we can accommodate an inspection on short notice.
